Raising children who love the Lord and respect His Word is not an easy task, especially in this day and age. Satan is using any vice possible to lure our children away from their loving and almighty God, namely by perverting and diluting the truth. Our task is simple, yet daunting. We’re called to nurture them and bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4). But how can we manage unless we spend time with them in meaningful discussion daily? The truth is, if we don’t accept the responsibility of guiding our children’s steps, then someone else will. The “gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction!” (Matthew 7:13).

The importance for us to read and study God’s Word with our children daily to critical for their spiritual growth. As the great psalmist said, “How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked...But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night” (Psalm 1:1-2). If we seek God’s counsel and meditate on His Word daily, we WILL be truly blessed and so will our children. For where else will we find the food we need to nurture them but in God’s Word?

Therefore, we are happy to offer this Devotional Guide for your Family. Devotional’s are based on a daily Bible reading schedule, with a 5-10 minute devotional thought taken from each day’s text. Designed for the sole purpose of improving Bible knowledge through helpful insight, this book will engage your children in a fun and imaginative way. May God bless you as you seek to nurture your children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

What others have to say

"In Our Father's Hands is a unique approach to family devotionals. It guides the devotional leader through comments, questions, and activities which can interest family members and help them apply the Bible reading. More families need to spend a few minutes each day in Bible study and this book will help family leaders to do that. I hope many will use it."

- Stafford North, Ph.D., Distinguished Professor of Bible, Oklahoma Christian University; author of "Like a thief in the night," and "Unlocking Revelation."

"Tyrel and Justin have published some very "user friendly" resources for parents. In Our Father's Hands requires minimal preparation, yet the devotionals are very effective Bible lessons and they are FUN for the whole family."
- Gary W. Gregg, M.S.Ed., Associate Director, Center for Advanced Ministry Training, Harding University
